Local Health Information Fair - Carbon Valley Regional Library in FirestoneUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Hello,

I am a librarian at the Carbon Valley Regional Library in Firestone, Colorado, part of the High Plains Library District. I am planning a Health Information Fair for January 30th at our library, and am looking for involvement from community health organizations in our service area. My colleage Cindy Welsh recommended I contact you.

The focus of this event is to provide education and information on health related issues to Carbon Valley residents. The fair will feature presentations in our meeting room and informational exhibits throughout the library, and will be free and open to the public. The fair is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

I have openings for two presentations (at 1:00 and 2:00), if you know of anyone who may be interested. The presentations should be about 45 minutes long, including questions. We are looking for topics that are general enough to attract an audience, but specific topics of high interest would be welcome as well. We currently have one presentation on fitness, and another on blood pressure.

I also have openings for informational tables if you would like one for NoCoHA. They will be setup throughout the library, and I am working on creating a “game” to encourage people to visit all the tables (with the incentive being entered to win a door prize). These are not traditional exhibit spaces – we have tables that are about 6 feet wide and about 2 feet deep, including chairs if needed. The primary goal of this is to get information out to people about health, so if you have any literature of that nature it would be wonderful to include. You are also welcome to include information about the services you provide. You are encouraged to have a person at your table, but it is not required.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you will consider taking part in this opportunity. I can be reached by phone or email as listed below.

Sincerely,

I just wanted to let someone know that the inquiries sent through this box are publicly viewable on the internet, if you do a google search on the names of people who have submitted. You should probably make the site that stores these inquiries secure so the general public cannot find out personal information about people. This is the url I was able to access: http://www.nocoha.org/Lists/Inquiry/AllItems.aspx

Looking for health care for low incomeUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Hi,
I am 55 years old and I think I need to see a doctor (OB/GYN). However, I am only working 10 hours a week and my husband is on disability so income is very limited. Is there any clinics in Greeley that charge on a sliding scale according to income?
Thanks,
Karla
